Laoag City Jail recently had its Graduation Exercises for the passers of the Accreditation and Equivalency Exam of the Alternative Learning System under the Department of Education. Four inmates passed the high school level while only one inmate passed the elementary level. And among those who passed the high school level, one inmate placed at No. 4 among more than 200 examinees in the city of Laoag. This is the first time that Laoag City Jail has its graduation ceremonies for the reason that in a span of 3 years since ALS was introduced in the jail, only this time that there are actually passers in the exam. The event was also attended by representatives of the Department of Education, Laoag City.
